Lifetime Adventures at Eklutna Lake

Lifetime Adventures operates the premier outdoor rental and guiding service at Eklutna Lake, Alaska's largest lake within the Municipality of Anchorage and one of the most spectacular day-trip destinations in the region. Accessible via Eklutna Lake Road off the Glenn Highway, the turquoise glacier-fed lake sits deep inside Chugach State Park, surrounded by mountains and virtually free of motorized traffic. Lifetime Adventures rents single and tandem kayaks, canoes, and mountain bikes, offering visitors the chance to paddle the full length of the lake or bike the 13-mile Lakeside Trail into the heart of the valley. For those who want more structure, guided tours, multi-day overnight adventures with transportation to backcountry State Park cabins, and combination Paddle and Pedal trips are available. Kayak lessons are offered for beginners. The rental season runs May 15 through September 30, with morning hours typically offering the calmest paddling conditions. Advance online booking is recommended, though walk-ins are welcome based on availability. Note: there is no cell service at Eklutna Lake or on the road leading to it.
