Thursday Evening Market

Anchorage's Favorite Weekly Community Gathering

Every Thursday evening throughout the summer, the Thursday Evening Market transforms downtown Anchorage into a vibrant community marketplace. This weekly tradition brings together local farmers, artisans, food vendors, and families for an authentic Alaska summer experience.

Local farmers showcase fresh Alaska-grown vegetables, herbs, and seasonal produce that thrives in the state's unique growing conditions. Artisan vendors display handcrafted items including jewelry, woodwork, pottery, and traditional Alaska Native crafts created by local artists.

Food trucks and prepared food vendors offer diverse cuisine from traditional Alaska dishes to international favorites. Live acoustic music creates a relaxed atmosphere while children enjoy dedicated activity areas with games and educational demonstrations.

The market emphasizes community connection and sustainable local business. Visitors can meet the farmers who grow their food, learn about Alaska agriculture, and discover unique locally-made products. Regular cooking demonstrations teach visitors how to prepare Alaska-grown ingredients.

This weekly gathering serves as a vital community hub where locals and tourists connect, supporting small businesses while enjoying the best of Anchorage's summer atmosphere.
