Description
Cyrano's Theatre Company has been at the heart of Anchorage's professional arts scene since its founding in 1992, producing a rotating season of contemporary and classic plays for Alaska audiences. For more than three decades, Cyrano's has remained one of the few professional theater companies in the state, offering fully staged productions with a dedicated ensemble cast.
Cyrano's holds a unique place in Alaska's cultural landscape. As one of the only professional theater companies north of Seattle operating on a permanent season model, it provides Anchorage audiences with access to polished, fully staged productions that require a dedicated, year-round operation to sustain. The company employs professional directors, designers, and actors — many of whom relocate to Anchorage for the season — alongside local ensemble members who bring continuity to the work. The pay-what-you-can preview performances reflect the theater's commitment to keeping professional live performance accessible to the full range of Anchorage residents.
The 2026 season features an ambitious slate of acclaimed works: "POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass..." (May 15–June 7), Chekhov's comic masterpiece "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" (Aug 21–Sep 13), and Stephen King's chilling "Misery" (Oct 9–Nov 1). Tickets are $35 general admission, $30 for military, seniors 65+, and students.
Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. The box office opens one hour before curtain. Cyrano's is located at 3800 Debarr Road in Anchorage. Visit cyranos.org or CenterTix for tickets and the latest season updates.
