Description

Alaskan Sights & Bites is Anchorage's only culinary tour operator — a locally owned company founded in 2021 by brothers Chris and Dan Morris, born-and-raised Alaskans who built each tour around the flavors and stories that define the Last Frontier.

The company offers four distinct experiences. The Downtown Walking Food Tour (May through September, daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.) guides small groups through Anchorage's historic core over three hours, stopping at local favorites and sampling dishes that tell the story of Alaska's diverse food culture — from wild salmon to reindeer sausage.

The Anchorage City Sightseeing & Food Van Tour (year-round at 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.) extends the experience over 4 to 4.5 hours, sweeping through the city's neighborhoods and scenic overlooks alongside curated food tastings. At $175–$185 per person, it's the most comprehensive introduction to the Anchorage food scene available.

The Spenard True Crime Food Tour (year-round, Wednesday through Saturday at 2 p.m., adults only) pairs local culinary stops with the fascinating — and occasionally gritty — criminal history of Anchorage's legendary Spenard district. At 3.5 hours and $145 per person, it's part dining, part true-crime storytelling, and entirely unforgettable.

The Matanuska Valley Full-Day Van Tour (seasonal, 9 hours) heads north through the Matanuska-Susitna Valley for a day trip combining scenic Alaskan landscapes with farm-to-table tastings and regional storytelling.

All tours are small-group and led by knowledgeable local guides. Every stop is vetted, every story is earned. Book online at alaskansightsandbites.com or call (833) 807-2300.
