Departing from the Log Cabin Visitor Center at 4th Avenue and F Street, the trolleys roll through downtown Anchorage and its surrounding neighborhoods with knowledgeable local guides who weave together history, wildlife stories, and Alaskan character into every run.

The company offers two primary summer tour formats. The One Hour Tour ($25 adult, $12.50 children under 12) covers a 15-mile narrated loop in 55 minutes, visiting Earthquake Park — the monument to the devastating 1964 Good Friday earthquake that reshaped Anchorage — as well as Lake Hood Seaplane Base, the Alaska Railroad yards, the Captain Cook Monument, and a stretch of the coastal bluff trail with views toward Cook Inlet and the Alaska Range. The Deluxe City Tour ($50 adult, $25 children) extends the experience to 1.5–2 hours and 20+ miles, with multiple stop-offs so guests can step off the trolley, explore, and reboard — including Point Woronzof for sweeping skyline and mountain views and Ship Creek for king salmon fishing observation. A Salmon Express tour rounds out the seasonal lineup.

Trolleys depart every 30 minutes from 9 AM through the afternoon, with evening runs continuing until 8:30 PM during peak season — one of the few city-tour operations that takes advantage of Alaska's extraordinary summer daylight, offering a distinctly golden-hour perspective on the city as the evening light plays off the Chugach Mountains. The season runs from May through September.

The tour format is particularly well-suited to Anchorage first-timers who want to orient themselves quickly before diving into the city on foot or heading out to the wider region. In under an hour, the One Hour Tour covers more geographic and historical ground than most visitors could manage independently in a half-day. The guides are locals who know the stories behind the landmarks — including the earthquake geology, the seaplane history, and the urban wildlife that shows up on a surprisingly regular basis.
